Hi! My name is Julia Roth, the founder and president of Moving Your Mind. I am senior in High School and in recent years, I have become widely interested in psychology and wellness. How and why we do certain things, how the brain and experiences help to maintain positive attitudes, and the overall mind-body connection. With dedication and the realization of the need to spread awareness for teenage mental health, I created "Moving Your Mind." MYM hopes to introduce teenagers to the therapeutic benefits of physical exercise on mental health and stress management. In high school, it can be difficult to manage different stressors and having a good way to cope and maintain a positive attitude is immensely important. All students deserve opportunities to relieve their anxiety and any issues with mental health that are negatively affecting their lives. I want to provide a stress free environment where we can all connect as teens through movement and exercise. I hope that with these free programs, other teens learn to feel more confident and supported in dealing with mental setbacks.
