Hi! My name is Julia Roth and I am junior in High School in New York. I have chosen to continue "Moving Your Mind" because throughout my Junior Year, I have found it very difficult to manage stress present in my life. However, the beneficial connection between physical and mental health have greatly helped me cope with anxiety and stress. Due to personal experience, I became aware that lots of teens experience the same kinds of stress and need something positive to help us through it. Hence, I decided to introduce the benefits of exercise on mental health. Everyone my age and all other ages deserve opportunities to relieve their anxiety and any issues with mental health that are negatively affecting their lives. I want to provide a stress free environment where we can all connect as teens through movement and exercise. I hope that with these free programs, other teens like me can feel a sense of support and and open their minds to physical and creative ways to deal with anxiety and depression.
